Non- Residential Guests attending a wedding at Upper House will be transported from The Sett Valley Car Park in Hayfield Village by our free in house minibus service and MUST not drive to the venue.
The collection point: Hayfield Sett Valley Trail Car Park (by the bus station and Countryside Centre), Station Road, Hayfield, High Peak, SK22 2ES. Guests can leave their cars in overnight car park, which is a pay and display and accepts coins and contactless.
Resident guests and staff only may travel to Upper House by car and park in the designated areas.
Upper House adheres to a Travel Plan which has been agreed with the Peak District National Park Authority to bring guests to the remote location.
Transport will be available throughout your time at Upper House for any emergencies, and carriages will begin at 21.30pm and must cease at 00.30am to return guests to the Village where ongoing transport arrangements may be arranged in advance with private taxi companies.
Taxis in rural areas must always be booked in advance. Please note there is no mobile signal at Upper House but wifi is available for wifi calling.


DIRECTIONS
From Hayfield Village take Kinder Road, which falls off bank street behind the Royal pub.
Continue straight on along this road until you reach ‘Bowden Bridge Car Park’ on your left. Continue through the ‘access only’ signs and please reduce your speed.
Drive carefully and be mindful of any walkers, animals, cyclists or on coming cars that maybe on this road. After 1/2 a mile you will reach a set of green gates, bear right over the bridge.
Continue straight up the hill and keep left, DO NOT TURN right pass through the red ‘no access’ signs and head towards the reservoir dam.
Drive until you think there is a dead-end and you
will then reach a gate the sign on the gate will read ‘Upper House’.
Please kindly note there is no mobile phone reception at the property, however WIFI is available.

Q: What time do the minibuses collect from the Sett Valley Car Park?
A: Daytime Guests: We like to have the first run of minibuses collecting your guests around 1 hour before your ceremony; e.g for a 14:00 pm ceremony, we would be collecting your guests at 13:00 pm in the Sett Valley car park (please ask guests to arrive in time to pay and display). Evening Guests 30 minutes prior to the arrival at the venue. A bespoke travel plan will be created for your wedding.
Q: Do my guests need to bring car seats for their children on the minibuses?
A: Yes, children under 12 must use the correct car seat to use the minibus.
Q: How many resident car parking spaces do you have?
A: We have a maximum of 12 car parking spaces for residents on site, please encourage car sharing as much as possible.
Q: Can my non-resident guests drive to site?
A: Only blue badge holders and heavily pregnant guests can drive to site and park. All other non-resident guests must use the minibuses.
